Teaser Tuesday #25

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Should Be Reading where we book bloggers give you lovely readers a tantalizing taste of whatever it is we are reading right now. To play along:

•  Grab your current read
•  Open to a random page
•  Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•  BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•  Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teaser is:
Loki: Nine Naughty Tales of the Trickster
Mike Vasich
Genre: Anthology, Mythology Inspired
"You pretend you are the wise adult among children, and yet all of your rancor stems from nothing more than jealousy and envy. You are not accepted and so you seek to destroy that which you resent, that which you secretly wish was yours."

If you are familiar with me and my blog, then you know I am a Loki fangirl. The Trickster figure in mythology has fascinated me since my earliest school years, through the many mythologies taught to me by my teachers. With the recent characterization of Loki in the films Thor and The Avengers,  my interest in The Trickster has peaked and I am constantly looking for new ways to indulge in my favorite mischief maker. Thank heaven for Mike Vasich and this short story anthology! I've read five out of the nine tales and am absolutely delighted.

What's your teaser this week?

Interesting teaser! And so true. I need to add this to my to-read list. There is never to much Loki stuff. Here is my Teaser Tuesday post.
