Teaser Tuesday #7

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Should Be Reading where we book bloggers give you lovely readers a tantalizing taste of whatever it is we are reading right now. To play along:

•  Grab your current read
•  Open to a random page
•  Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•  BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•  Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teaser is:
Feed
by Mira Grant
Newsfelsh Trilogy #1
Science-fiction, Horror

"The ASL for 'zombie' has joined the raised middle finger as one of the truly universal hand gestures. Some points just need to be made quickly."
pg. 97

"The moral of our story, beyond the obvious 'don't play with dead things' : Some lines were never meant to be crossed, however good your cause may seem."
 pg. 212

I'm really enjoying this book so far. It has been kind of slow to start, but everything that has contributed to the slowness is vital information. Grant has put together an intricate and well thought out world for her characters who are just as gritty and strong as the world they live in. I am fascinated by the political and journalism aspects and have great expectations for this book, so much so, that I went out and bought Deadline last week after only reading a few chapters. Can't wait to see how this ones turns out!

I agree with the second quote! It's like, "Don't play with the dead or you're dead too." Scary!

I heard great things about Feed but lit zombies are just not my type. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
