Saving Sunni Virtual Tour: Guest Post & Giveaway

Welcome to Wickedly Bookish's first stop on the Saving Sunni Virtual Tour brought to you by Innovative Online Tours! I'm so excited to be hosting Kasi for her guest post that had me cheering! I too am getting sick of every fictional Dom being portrayed as a billionaire. Ladies, this is not what makes a great Dom. Please read on for insight from Kasi, an actual practitioner of the BDSM lifestyle and don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Not every Dom has a helicopter!

By Kasi Alexander

Don’t get me wrong: I like the fantasy of a hopelessly gorgeous billionaire Dom whisking me off in his private helicopter just as much as the next girl. But I’ve pretty much given up the idea of finding one like that.

So are there actual Doms out there who may not be billionaire helicopter pilots but are still exciting and sexy and thrilling? Sure there are. And what’s more, you might be married to one!

Most guys by the age of 35 or 40 are starting to lose interest in being romantic—or at least they seem like it. Life, career, raising kids, worrying about bills has gotten in the way of feeling like a charming, chivalrous lover who wants to take you out to dinner and then ravage you in the bedroom on a bed covered in rose petals.

But just because he’s lost sight of the stud he was at 20, that doesn’t mean that your guy wouldn’t be interested in a little power exchange or kinky role-playing. With a little encouragement, you might be able to persuade him to be a little more dominant in the bedroom. Most guys like to feel powerful, manly, and adored. If you can give him those feelings, then he’ll probably be willing to move heaven and earth to get you what you want in exchange. Try this: for one evening, put aside all of your normal expectations, grievances, and frustrations with each other. Treat him as if he’s the most admirable, strong, studly man in the universe. Play it up. Do it in a humorous way if he’s uncomfortable with a straight version. Be playful. Tell him how exciting he is. Give him (beforehand) a list of things he can do to dominate you in an erotic way, and don’t criticize while he’s figuring out how to do those things. If you can make him enjoy the experience, he’ll want to do it again. He might even get into reading scenes with you and acting them out.

Fiction is great and all, but you’re in a relationship for a reason. The more you can give him what he wants, the better chance you have of getting what you want in return!

Synopsis
Jessie Chambers—“Sunni” to the local BDSM community—needs to grow up. Her master, Sir Rune, has told her to get a job. Her sister slave sage is struggling through college, serious as ever. Sunni goes to the local goth/kink store, The Fringe Element, and is immediately embraced by its quirky owner as the newest member of her “little family.” But almost immediately things start to get complicated. Sunni’s ex shows up, claiming he’s found God and that God wants them to get back together. A video of Sunni and Sir Rune doing a scene at the club winds up on television and all kinds of trouble ensues. Sunni must figure out a way to restore her relationships, keep her master from getting deported, take over running the store, and stop everybody else from trying to “save Sunni.”
